AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The small plane that crashed while carrying four pickleball players to a tournament near Austin last month had problems with freezing instruments before it broke apart midair, according to a preliminary federal investigation report released Friday.

The National Transportation Safety Board has released their latest findings on a plane that crashed last month in a Land O’ Lakes neighborhood, killing the pilot.

Fire crews are on scene where a small plane landed in a field in Sun Lakes near SR87 and Hunt Highway. The plane landed on Gila River Indian Community land. The incident occurred sometime before 9 p.m.

Police said there were no reported injuries.
